TEAM NOTES

On the rebound...

A much needed win as 1 Bad Apple defeated Souza's garage in an easy game where 1 Bad Apple dominated throughout.

After the 3rd inning 1 Bad Apple was up 13-1, but seemed to be toying with Souza's Garage. The defense did well all around until late in the game when a non-regular overcharged a ball that made the runners go like a merry-go-round. It was never as close as the final score of 18-12 would indicate.

The heart is once again pumping...

The heart of the order is once again pumping some life into the lineup. This game certainly had no resemblance to the previous game where the team was a combined 9 for 29 (.310 batting average).

The middle of the order is swinging away and hitting the ball hard and it is much needed if this team is to advance in the late rounds of playoffs.

MVP Considerations...

Who is the MVP & Gold Glove in your mind? Think about it as this next big game should hopefully distinguish someone for concideration in this "big" game verse the undefeated team!

Brownie--Shut up and pitch...

Incase some of you don't know, we are facing Reggie's Boyz in our final game of the season. Reggie's Boyz has a pitcher with the biggest mouth you have ever heard. I have seen "Brownie," as he is nichnamed, get into people's heads. He was in the heads of a few players on team Smith in the championship game last season and they did not fair well against him. Mike Lunetta really hates this pitcher, some of us with kids know how to shut people out.

Disregard anything he says or does, he will try anything to distract you. He likes saying things just before you hit but you MUST reamin focused. If he really gets on your nerves hit a line drive up the middle (haha).

Quotable Quote!

Leave it to big mouth Raul Rizo to get the quote of the week as he was calling his own number when Joe Melo came in for relief (pitcing). Raul said, "I never thought I would hear we want Raul to go back in to pitch instead of Joe Melo." The funny thing is that it was him that was saying it. Too Funny!!!!!!!!

Defensive Gems

John Mapes and Jeremy anchored down the left side of the infield. Although Pat Rubacaiva robbed Jeremy of an assist, he otherwise did well at 1B. The outfield once again had a good game making the catches.

Shinning Apples!

Rick Banuelos went 3-3; scoring 2, driving in 1. Basim Abu-Hamid, Raul Rizo, & Jeff Saito all went 3-4. Basim & Raul scored 3 runs and Jeff scored 2.
